Instruments
| Authorizing via Service Center |
|
To authorize a Vir2 instrument for unlimited use on your computer, use the NI Service Center application which will be installed on your hard drive by the Vir2 instrument installer. For Mac users, the Service Center will be installed in your Applications folder. Depending on which product/version, you may find it at the root level of the Applications folder, in a folder called NI Service Center, or in the Native Instruments/Service Center folder. For PC users, the Service Center will be installed in your Program Files folder in similar folder paths. When you launch Service Center for the first time, you will see a login dialog box. If you already have a Native Instruments account, you can enter your e-mail and password here. If not, Service Center will allow you to create one on the spot. Once you log in, you will see a list of all products which are managed by the Service Center. Any products that aren't yet authorized will show up with fields ready for you to type in the serial number. Clicking the Activate button will authorize all products for which you have entered valid serial numbers for. The process takes only a few seconds, and once finished, your computer will be permanently authorized to use that product. |
